So, my "even better than a weekend within the week" is over. I've just had Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off. I did some work in it, which is good because it will stop me moaning about wasting time, but I am frustrated by the fact that I have one final piece of work to do for my current employer, but the tape to do the work didn't even arrive over the past few days, despite being promised it would. It would have been nice to get that out of the way but... oh well.

Anyway. February is here, and the cold weather shows no signs of letting up. The past few days have been just a bit too cold for me, and it makes me wonder how people in Russia survive at -40C, sometimes even worse. I start moaning if the temperature goes below 0 and above 20, so I'm not a very tolerant person. Still, at least the days are getting longer. I like the feeling that you're on the slow ascent to summer. Nice.

I've decided to stop paying up front for my driving lessons. This will cost me an extra 50p per hour, but I think the flexibility is worth it in case I decide I have to change my instructor. After another farcical lesson on Wednesday, which involved the instructor telling me which way to go just as I passed the turn off on the roundabout, I'm losing patience. She then claimed this was evidence I'm "not ready" for big roundabouts yet, despite going round an enormous roundabout a number of times back home. But I probably will book my theory test soon. I'm getting 90% and more on the practice CD I've got now, so it should be fine.

I also think it's about time I made up my mind over this summer. Decision on that one is Coming Soon (tm).

Meanwhile, the weeks continue to fly by. I'm a third of the way through this University semester already. Whoops.
